Cuba, Libre? has just won its 10th award from film festivals and film award competitions.

The IndieFEST Film Awards has given the documentary an “Award of Recognition” in the “Documentary Short” category.

“Established in 2008 and currently in its 9^th year, The IndieFEST Film Awards is an avant-garde worldwide competition that strives to give talented directors, producers, actors, creative teams and new media creators the positive exposure they deserve. It discovers and honors the achievements of filmmakers who produce high quality films and new media.”

Cuba, Libre? has just become an Official Selection of the this year’s Top Indie Film Awards, which says

“The fact is we’re sick of Hollywood. They only care about brands and marketing. Forget originality, passion, or vision. It’s all about cashing in on a built-in audience so they don’t have to take any risks. This is why we respect independent filmmakers. We know what it takes, and we’re here to reward you so you can get real recognition for your work. We want to help indie filmmakers find success by celebrating their achievements with a plethora of different awards.”

This is the 17th festival or award competition that has made Cuba, Libre? one of its picks.

 

Cuba, Libre? will be screened at the Romford Film Festival in the Greater London area at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 28th.

This is the second year for the festival which kicks off on Thursday, May 24th, and runs five days.

Earlier today Cuba, Libre? was named a Finalist in the the Rome Independent Prisma Awards. Now it has been formally nominated for next month’s Best Feature Doc award which will be announced on April 30th.

Yesterday “Cuba, Libre?” was named a Semi-Finalist in the the Rome Independent Prisma Awards. Today’s it moved up to Finalist in that awards competition.

A month ago “Cuba, Libre?” was made an Official Selection by the Rome Independent Prisma Awards.

Today it was named a semi-finalist, competing against two other films for the Feature Documentary Award.

On IMDb (aka the “Internet Movie Database) you’ll find classic films of the past, such as “Casablanca” and Oscar-winning movies such as “The Shape of Water.” But IMDb also lists “Cuba, Libre?”

Cuba, Libre? will be one of 100 films that will be screened during May 24-28, 2018 at this year’s Romford Film Festival in the east London area.

This will be the first screening of the documentary at a venue outside of the United States.

After being selected by six film festivals and award competitions and winning five film awards in March, Cuba, Libre? has just kicked off April by winning its ninth film award.

The documentary just received an ARFF Globe Award from the Around International Film Festival // Amsterdam.

Cuba, Libre? has just won its eighth film award and the seventh since November of 2017.

The Snowdance Film Awards named the film as “Runner Up” in the “Best Documentary Short” competition.

Earlier this month Cuba, Libre? received an Award of Recognition from the Best Shorts Competition and a similar award from the Accolade Global Film Competition, as well as a Silver Award in the “Documentary Feature” category at the Winter 2018 International Independent Film Awards.

Cuba, Libre? has just been made an Official Selection of the Snowdance Film Awards which will be handed out in April.

It is the fourteenth film festival or film award competition that has selected the documentary.
