Cuba, Libre? has been chosen as an Official Selection of the 2016 Visual Radio Network Festival.
It and other films will be screened beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, April 29th, 2016, in the theater of Where Media Meets Studios, located in the Oakland International Airport Business Center, 8393 Capwell Drive, Oakland, California 94621.

The Festival will begin the evening outdoors with refreshments at the festival’s Awards Gala. The Awards Gala is a social gathering for the winning filmmakers and those of the general public in attendance to meet/greet, socialize, and network with each other. Guests will get to network with filmmakers, content creators, musicians, artists, celebrities, and many more.
The Awards Gala will feature red carpet interviews with filmmakers and selected guests conducted by VJTV Network news correspondents. The highlight of the Awards Gala will be the live presentation of the 2016 Visual Radio Network Festival trophies and award certificates to our winning filmmakers in categories including, but not limited to, the following:
- Best Web/New Media Series
- Best Short Film
- Best Feature Film
- Best Documentary
- Best Animation
- Best Experimental
- Best Music Video
- Best International Film
- Best Television Series or Special
After the Awards Gala, the Festival guests and attendees will go inside to the theater to enjoy live screenings of the Festival’s officially selected film projects. As well as screening at the live event, the winning filmmakers and content creators selected will also have their film/television/music videos screened on broadcast television on The Visual Radio Television Festival presentation, airing exclusively on the VJTV Network which broadcasts on Comcast Channel 90 in Sacramento County on Saturday April 30th, and May 1st, 2016.
The Visual Radio Television Festival’s purpose is to celebrate the best in independent television, web series, feature and short length films, animation, music videos, and film creators from around the globe.
The Visual Radio Network Festival is currently in its first year running.
VJTV, The Visual Radio Network, focuses on achievements through film/television, music, entertainment, business, history, and other endeavors.
VJTV covers a variety of events including the Academy Awards, BET Awards, Billboard Music Awards, Black Filmmakers Hall of Fame Awards, California Music Awards and many other presentations.
